AARP
My membership is good thru March 2010 but I just received a renewal notice. Want to use my money for free until then.
I am not renewing because Of:
1. Too early
2. Endorsed House bill for healthcare reform which will hurt millions of Senior Citizens
3. AARP makes millions from endorsing other insurance companies, life UnitedHealth & New York Life.
4. The President of UnitedHealthcare makes over $108,000 per day!!!

Healthcare reform??
Let me get this straight.
Obama's health care plan will be written by a committee whose head
says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read
it and whose members will be exempt from it, signed by a president
who smokes, funded by a treasury chief who did not pay his taxes,
overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country
that is nearly broke.
What could possibly go wrong?

Secret meeting
Have we been lied to again by the White House. Yes, secret meeting(s) have been going on as evidenced by the following:
Commitment of up to $80 billion, but not more than $80 billion.
1. Agree to increase of Medicaid rebate from 15.1 - 23.1% ($34 billion)
2. Agree to get FOBs done (but no agreement on details -- express disagreement on data exclusivity which both sides say does not affect the score of the legislation.) ($9 billion)
3. Sell drugs to patients in the donut hole at 50% discount ($25 billion)
This totals $68 billion
4. Companies will be assessed a tax or fee that will score at $12 billion. There was no agreement as to how or on what this tax/fee will be based.
Total: $80 billion
In exchange for these items, the White House agreed to:
1. Oppose importation
2. Oppose rebates in Medicare Part D
3. Oppose repeal of non-interference
4. Oppose opening Medicare Part B

TN Rep. John Tanner
Rep. Tanner does not have the guts to hold face-to-face townhall meetings during his august recess!!!
He has only appeared on the floor of the House (3) times in past year uttering anything.
He's outta here!!
